Legislative Accomplishments of the Democratic Party – A Reflection of our Values
The Democratic Party led by Democratic Presidents have an impressive record of accomplishments through the years. We have passed significant legislation, often achieved in a bipartisan manner, to positively impact the lives of every American. As examples: Social Security – President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1935); Civil Rights Act – President Lyndon B. Johnson (1964); Medicare and Medicaid – President Lyndon B. Johnson (1965); Balanced Federal Budget – President Bill Clinton (2001); The Affordable Care Act – President Barack Obama (2010); Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act – President Joe Biden (2021); Chips and Science Act – President Joe Biden (2022); Clean Energy Act – Joe Biden (2024); Bi-Partisan Border/Immigration Bill – President Joe Biden (2024) – Note: this bill was bipartisan and, in the end, was not passed because of Donald Trump’s opposition.
As our LD14 Democrats mission states: We advocate for policies that support families and workers, invest in public education, and provide essential services to all Arizona residents.
