Kris Mayes is one of Arizona’s strongest consumer advocates and an attorney who has distinguished herself as a fighter for families in a lifetime of public service. She’s the second woman and first mom to serve as Arizona’s chief law enforcement officer and chief attorney.

In 2022, Adrian Fontes was elected as Arizona’s 21st Secretary of State. Secretary Fontes is a proud Arizona native, an honorable veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and the father of three daughters, who has spent a lifetime fighting for justice and defending our Democracy.
After graduating from law school, Secretary Fontes spent his career advocating for justice and fighting for those who are disadvantaged — first as a prosecutor with the Denver District Attorney and then at the Maricopa County Attorney’s office. I have decades of heavy industry experience including forestry, pulp & paper, foundry, and mining. I am named as an inventor on six United States patents, some directly associated with mining safety. Municipalities
Municipalities generally take responsibility for parks and recreation services, police and fire departments, housing services, emergency medical services, municipal courts, transportation services (including public transportation), and public works (streets, sewers, snow removal, signage, and so forth). City of Chandler
The Mayor and City Councilmembers are elected “at large” to represent the entire City. They are not elected to represent districts or wards. The term of the office of Mayor and Councilmember is four years and is limited to two consecutive terms. Candidate elections are held in the even numbered years. Each election year, three positions for City Council are up for election. Every four years an election is held for the office of Mayor.

The Gilbert Town Council consists of a Mayor and six Councilmembers. The Mayor and Council serve at-large, representing all citizens and serve four year terms; there are no term limits and members can be elected to consecutive terms of office. Gilbert municipal elections are non-partisan.
