Running for Office

AZ CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 5

Political Party: DEMOCRAT

I am running for Congress in Arizona’s 5th District to bring my practical, grounded, and unifying leadership to Washington. I am not interested in fueling division, I’m focused on fixing what is broken, fighting for everyday Arizonans, and building a government that actually works for the people. I believe elected officials should answer to the communities they represent, and I am committed to holding myself accountable to the citizens of Arizona’s 5th District every step of the way. MARY ROSE

MARY ROSE

Running for Office

AZ CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 5

Political Party: DEMOCRAT

I’m a third-generation native Arizonan. I have lived in Gilbert for the past twelve years. In that time, I’ve seen my town grow immensely, but also made increasingly inaccessible to working families as the affordability crisis continues to shrink the middle class and exclude younger generations. Working on Raul Castro’s successful gubernatorial campaign, I learned to recognize the difference between serving people and serving corporate & private interests.

Building an Economy for ALL – I will fight for:

• Affordable Housing
• Funding public school fairly
• Water Sustainability

ELIZABETH LEE

ELIZABETH LEE

Running for Office

AZ CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 5

Political Party: DEMOCRAT

I didn’t wake up one day and decide to run for Congress…

I’ve spent over a decade as a nurse and patient advocate helping thousands of people navigate some of the most emotionally complex, financially devastating, and deeply personal experiences of their lives.

I’m running because YOU deserve someone who will fight for you the way I’ve fought for my patients and for my own care.

I come from the same background as most people in this district and I have spent my life and career fighting broken systems from the patient side, the bedside, and the boardroom. This campaign is about putting real world, proven problem solving and political courage back into our government to serve the good of all people.”

BRIAN HUALDE

BRIAN HUALDE

Running for Office

AZ CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 5

Political Party: DEMOCRAT

I am a fourth-generation Arizonan, healthcare provider, Army veteran, husband, and father of six running to bring practical leadership and working-class values back to government.

After my military service, I built a career in healthcare as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, spending years caring for Arizonans in emergency and critical care settings. Working on the front lines showed me how rising healthcare costs, overcrowded schools, housing prices, and economic uncertainty are putting enormous pressure on Arizona families. Every family deserves access to quality healthcare, strong public education, clean air and water.

I am committed to lowering costs for working families, supporting veterans, and ensuring healthcare is affordable. I believe government should work for everyday people — not just corporations and special interests — and that Arizona’s future depends on investing in its workers, families, and communities.

I am running to fight for a stronger, fairer Arizona where hard work is respected, opportunity is within reach, and no family is left behind.

KATIE HOBBS

AZ GOVERNOR

Political Party: DEMOCRAT

Katie Hobbs is the 24th Governor of Arizona. She is a mom of two adult kids, and lives in Phoenix with her husband and their dog, Harley.

Born and raised in Arizona, Katie Hobbs has spent her life fighting for the people of this state—and she’s never been afraid to tackle hard challenges head-on. Growing up in a working-class family in Tempe, Katie learned the value of service and hard work from her parents. When times were tough, her family relied on food stamps and their church community to get by.

“I know what it takes to turn our challenges into opportunities — opportunities to make Arizona the best place to live, work, and raise a family. We need leaders who will look to the future, not dwell on the past. Leaders who can bring people together to get the job done. I’m going to keep doing just that, and I hope you’ll stand with me.”
